Comments on: INTP bad drivers? Indeed! https://blog.zone38.net/2002/11/26/324/ Random ramblings from a relatively rational recluse. I HATE DRIVING. Scares the hell out of me… I am 24 and still don’t have my license. Mind you, i don’t care if someone else is driving, long as it isn’t me. what a curse 🙁

cheers
rahul.

Failed the driving test the 3rd time. Good to know that I am not the only one.
Should I mention that I am an INTP?

I’m and INTP through and through, and I’m a terrible driver! Was never interested in driving, never took drivers ed, waited a
year and 1/2 before I disinterestingly took the test. Had 9 accidents in the first six months, all minor and with unmoving cars
or less animate objects. I’m ok when I’m paying attention, it’s just that I can’t! It’s almost comical. I just can’t take it
and many of the laws surrounding it very seriously. Speeding tickets, missing signs, freaking people out, you name it. Driving just
boars the hell out of me and if I had the cash to pay someone to do it for me I would. I could then safely have a conversation or
read a book while traveling. Anyway, I’m gonna look around this site and see what it’s about.

Count me among the INTP non-drivers.

(And if INTPs are bad drivers, does that mean EFSJ’s are good drivers?)

I also have a friend at college who’s a borderline INFP/INTP non-driver, sharing almost all of the same frustrations that I do, not to mention understanding my viewpoint on the issue completely. (And if you’re reading this, Sarah, you may de-lurk and post a reply if you wish. Heh. ;-))

People have found my site searching for “INTP genius”. I wonder if they found what they were looking for… 😉

I suck..but at least now I can take comfort in knowing my incompetence really has its root in a personality disfunction..heh, I’m sure my ESTJ driving instructor would be thrilled to haer that 😉

I am an extreme INTP and I REALLY don’t like driving. -I get my husband to drive. My ESTJ brother always thought of me as a hazard on the road, mainly due to my absent-minded nature. My INTJ hubby is actually a better driver than myself!

I’m also an INTP but I love to drive, and I passed my test on the first try. 🙂
